One person floats an idea, friends tap if they're down, you lock the plan. The no-group-chat-chaos way to go from “we should hang out” to “see you there.”

Toss out a day and a vibe — or the exact plan if you already know it. No pressure, no overthinking.
You share an invite link with friends from your own phone — they tap one button: in, maybe, or can't. No accounts, no group-chat back-and-forth.
Once enough are in, you pick the spot and lock it. Everyone gets the final plan. See you there.
“We should hang out sometime” never happens.
down? makes it happen.
down? uses SMS for one purpose only: account verification. When you sign up or sign in, you enter your own mobile number on the phone-number screen and tap the “Send code” button. By tapping “Send code,” you request and consent to receive a one-time verification code by text at the number you entered. You only ever receive a code when you actively request one — there is no pre-checked box, no purchased lists, and no marketing or promotional texts.
The opt-in screen inside the down? app. Tapping “Send code” requests a verification code.
Program details:
down? does not sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing. Friend invites are sent by you, from your own phone’s Messages app (via your device’s share sheet) — down? does not text your friends on your behalf.
